Through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and direct support, the County works to attract new industries while strengthening the businesses and sectors already rooted in the community.

Small Business Development Center
As part of our mission to support entrepreneurship and small business success across Chelan and Douglas counties, the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority proudly partners with the Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) — a statewide network of expert business advisors helping entrepreneurs start, grow, or transition their businesses.
The Washington SBDC offers one-on-one, confidential, and no-cost advising covering all phases of business development. Advisors are often co-located with community colleges, economic development organizations, and government agencies, making support accessible and locally connected.
In addition to personalized advising, the SBDC provides no-cost and low-cost workshops on a wide range of business topics, along with customized market research services to guide strategic decision-making.
The Washington SBDC is part of the national America’s SBDC network and operates under a cooperative agreement between Washington State University, the program’s statewide host, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
