Keynote Speaker

Dr. Grant Forsyth is the Chief Economist of Avista Corp., where he provides economic analysis and insight on the trends and conditions affecting communities, businesses, and the broader regional economy.
**Before joining Avista in 2012, Grant served as a Professor of Economics at Eastern Washington University from 1999 to 2012. He earned his PhD in Economics from Washington State University in 1996.**
Grant also serves on the Washington Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors and the Association of Washington Business’s Council of Economic Advisors, bringing a statewide perspective to conversations about Washington’s economy and its future.

Twice each year, the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority hosts the Partners in Economic Development event, bringing together business leaders, community organizations, and public partners to discuss opportunities and challenges shaping the regional economy.
