Why an Economic Development Plan?

The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority (CDRPA), serving as the region’s Associate Development Organization (ADO), is developing a coordinated roadmap to help guide economic development priorities across Chelan and Douglas Counties over the next five years.

The draft plan focuses on supporting:

  • Small businesses and entrepreneurship

  • Infrastructure and transportation investment

  • Business retention and expansion

  • Workforce opportunity

  • Regional partnerships and advocacy

  • Long-term economic resilience

Community input is an important part of this process and will help inform the final plan.
